５月：May

Magnafiume left California for France in May.  We'll miss them a lot... it was so nice to have them close to us.  

エンリコ家族たちがフランスに引っ越ししました。とっても寂しくなります。やっぱり長い間近くだっただけに。

 They are assembling the furniture that we inheritated from Enrico.  Ale is good at assembling things and so is his son.
エンリコの所からもらった家具を家で組み立て〜！アレがこういうのが得意なので、エドも本当にこういうのが大好きです。

A day before their departure to France.  It was a little bit sad to see their empty Berkeley apartment.  Surely Edo will miss them a lot.
 出発前の日。がらーんとなったアパートはちょっと寂しい感じがしました。エドも寂しくなるだろうなぁ。

 These days Edo wants me to try different hair styles.
最近、お風呂でいろんな髪型に挑戦。

We started a swimming lesson for Edo.  Edo's classmate's mother recommended this place since they are seriously teaching how to swim.
 プールのレッスンを始めました。エドのクラスメートのお母さんに勧めてもらったところで、なかなか本格的です。

We signed it up for waterbabies class, 30 minutes instruction with a parent.  However, they have their goal to achieve for the class and our instructor was very serious about teaching.
 とりあえずは、ウォーターベイビーというクラスで、親と一緒の３０分のクラスからですが、きちんとゴールがあって、真剣なインストラクターでした。

 The goal is to put their heads inside water (to hold breath, which is kind of hard to teach young kids), and not to be afraid of water...
最終的には、もぐれるようになること、水をおそれないようになること、なのだそうです。

 Eclipse.  In California, we can see this event every 20 years.  The moon covers the sun...  So we packed some stuff and went to a park nearby.
金環日食です。こちらでは、２０年に１度ぐらいで見られる現象だとかで、月が太陽を隠してしまうのだとか。いろいろ持ち出して、近所の公園に行ってみました。

Edo didn't care much about this event, but he enjoys the day out, playing balls and rockets.
 エドは、そんな現象はどうでもいい感じで、ロケットのおもちゃで遊んだり、ボールで遊んだり、、、。

 There are so many people who are there with their telescope.
天体望遠鏡を持って、いろんな人が公園に集まっていました。

The shadow was also quite interesting...
 影も、こんな感じに。

 This Mazda is the car that Ale bought two years after his arrival in the States.  We drove this car for a long time, but we don't need two cars and we decided to sell.  Though it was 10 years old car, but we sold it so fast.
さて、マツダの車ですが、アレがアメリカに来て２年後に購入した車。結構乗ったなぁ。でも、２台もいらないし、、ということで売りました。中古で１０年も経つのにすごい勢いで買い手がつきました。

Ale also went to waterbabies class with Edo.
 アレもウォーターベイビーのクラスへ参加。

At cafe nearby, the guy who makes cappucino made hot milk with some cacao powder on the top.  Edo was quite happy to his own "coffee".
 近くの喫茶店で、カプチーノを作ってくれる人が、サービスでエドにもホットミルクにココアパウダーを上にのせてくれて、エドも大満足です。

Today is the last day with Mazda.
 マツダの車とも、これでさようならです。

Our friend Esteban and Silvia own two dogs and Edo really loves their dogs and always hopes to be invited to their place.
 エステバンとシルビアは２匹犬を飼っているのですが、エドは本当にこのわんちゃん達が大好きで、ことあるごとに、招いてもらいたがります。
