Back to California: カリフォルニアに帰ってきました！

After 20 days in Italy, we came back to California.  We had our small birthday at home for Edo.

イタリアでの２０日間の休暇の後、家でもエドの小さい誕生日をしました。

Edo!  Happy 3rd Birthday!  Auguri! 

エド、三歳の誕生日！おめでとう！

 In California, we usually bike to school, parks, etc.  A little bit Eco-life.
カリフォルニアではたいてい通学も公園に行ったりするのも自転車。ちょっとしたエコライフです。

 We went to a farmer's market in Palo Alto.
パロアルトのファーマーズマーケットに。

 Edo goes to a park nearby by bike often.
エドもよく自転車に乗って、公園に行きます。

Now Edo can throw frisbee very well.
最近、エドは本当に上手にフリスビーをなげます。

Trip to Italy Part 5: イタリア旅行 パート５

ミラノに帰ってきて一日早いエドの誕生日ランチをしました。

After coming back to Milan, we had one day early Edo's birthday lunch.

 There are so many good pastries in Milan...
イタリア、そしてミラノには本当においしいケーキ屋さんやらパン屋さんが多い。

 ノンニからのプレゼント。

 ありがとうのキス。

 We finished our lunch with ice cream in the end.  We ate too much...
シメはアイスクリームでした。食べ過ぎた〜！

 その後、アメリカに帰る前に、いろいろ食料などの買い出し。
After lunch, we went to a supermarket to get some foods before we went back to the States.

 A night before our departure, Luca, Carlo and Massimo suggested to go out for dinner.
出発の前の日、ルカ、カルロ、マッシモさんとちょっとおしゃれディナーへ。

 グルメの彼らが連れて行ってくれたレストランは本当においしかった。リゾット。
They were so into foods, so the restaurant that they took us was really really good.  I had some risotto there.

 いや〜、どれもおいしかった！前菜からデザートまでフルコースで頂きました。
All the dishes were really good.  I had from the appetizer till the dessert.

イタリアのスーパーでも寿司のパックがあって、なんだかうれしくなりました。でも、もっぱらサーモンとマグロだな。
We found some sushi packaged at a regular supermarket in Italy, which made me somehow happy.

Trip to Italy Part 4: イタリア旅行 パート４

アルプスの避暑地にて近辺でいろいろ行ってみました。

We spent a lot of time in the Alps this time, so that we could visit some interesting places nearby.

 スコットランド系の牛なんですって。なんとなく、スコットランド人っぽい。って失礼ですか。

 Edo was scared by those cows, but he could feed a small one.
エドもちょっと怖がっていたけど、小さいのにはえさもあげられました。

 What we did a lot during our vacation was.. "puzzles".
このお休みによくしたのは、パズル。もうこのパズル、目をつぶってもできそう。

 Alberto, Ale's cousin, visited us in the mountains and spent one day together.
アレのいとこのアルベルトがここまで訪ねて来てくれました。

 Edo was teaching how to do puzzles to Alberto.

We went hiking to a restaurant in the mountains.
 山の中にあるレストランまで少しハイキング。

 We had some cheese dish and good meats here.
このレストランでは山なので、美味しいチーズやお肉を頂きました。

 After lunch, Nonni and Edo went back home and we went hiking with Alberto.
そのあと、エドとノンニたちは家へ。アルベルトと私たちはそのまま山にハイキングに。

 Whenever and wherever, Edo was so into puzzle.
時間があれば、どこでも、パズル！

 雨が降った日は家でみんなそれぞれのんびりです。
In rainy days, we spent time being relaxed like this...

 We went up to a different mountain by gondola.
ケーブルカーで違う山にのぼりました。

 その山の頂上付近にあるロッジをかねたレストラン。おいしかったです。
A restaurant combined with a hotel near the top of the mountains.  The food was really good there.

 山の家の庭にて。シルビオパパは朝からガーデニングで大忙し。
A garden in the mountain house.  Silvio was busy gardening since in the morning.

 近くにできた知り合いの経営するレストランのオープニングパーティーへ。
We went to a grand opening party of the restaurant of nonni's friend's.

 天井にはもちろんシルビオパパがデザインした日時計が。
There was a sundial on the ceiling above designed by Silvio.

 いろんなレストランにも連れて行ってもらって本当によく食べました。
Nonni took us to a lot of different restaurants in the mountains and we were really well-fed.

 ミラノに帰る途中に寄ったお城というか、貴族のサマーハウス。
We stopped by a castle, or more like a summer house on our way back to Milan.

 エンリコおじさん、ミミおばさんも山に訪ねてきてくれて一日一緒に過ごしました。
Zii also visited us in the mountains and we spent one day together.

 Edo was very energetic and played hard.
エドはいつも元気でよく遊んでました。

エドはミミおばちゃんが好き。

 ランチの後はアイスクリーム。
After lunch, we went to our favorite ice cream shop in the town.

 We visited a few parks there too.
いろいろな公園にも何度か行きました。

 Silvio papa was teaching how to draw things to Edo and Edo was listening...
シルビオパパと一緒に絵を描いて遊んでもらってました。
