Nice memories from Japan: 日本での思い出。

It seemed a very short one month in Japan, but we had a very good time in Japan.

長いようで短かった１ヶ月。でも、とてもいいお休みになりました。

Edo liked watermelons a lot in Japan. Since back from Japan, he still have a strong passion for watermelons!

日本で本当に大好きになったスイカ。日本から帰って来てからもその想いは消えることなく、、、。
His another passion is "icecream". It became almost impossible for Ale to enjoy his ice cream when Edo is around...

ほかに、エドの大好きになったものは、アイスクリーム。エドがいると、もう自分のアイスクリームを楽しめない！とアレは嘆いております。
We also visited my aunt's place.

おばさんの家にもおじゃましました。
We also visited Kyoto as well. It was very hot but fun!

京都にも行ってきました。とても暑かったけど、楽しかったです。
It was almost nobody on our way back from Kyoto in Shinkansen, so Edo was enjoying his ride on Shinkansen.

京都からの帰りの新幹線は本当にだれもいなくて、エドも新幹線を満喫していました。

Trips in Okayama: ちょっと小旅行 in 岡山
Since we got all together, we made a small day trip together to Hiruzen mountains. We were hoping that it would be a little cooler up on the mountains, but no luck...
せっかくみんな集まったから、蒜山高原に日帰り旅行に行きました。高原だから少し涼しいかなと期待していたのだけど、やっぱり高原でも暑かった！

Talking of Hiruzen, it's famous for lamb BBQ, so here we are!

蒜山と言えば、ジンギスカン！そうみんなで楽しみました〜！
Also it's famous for dairy products because there are so many cows.

それから牛もたくさんいるから、乳製品もおいしかった。
We also saw the circus too.

サーカスにも行きました。
After everybody left, we went to Ushimado in Okayama. It was a very quiet trip but relaxing.

みんなが帰った後、岡山の牛窓に行きました。とても静かだったけどリラックスできました。

Bon Festival: お盆

As a family we got together all in Okayama.

岡山に全員集合しました。

Edo experienced his bon.

エドのお盆経験その１
We went to the temple near our countryside house.

田舎のお寺さんへ行きました。
With our monk.

お坊さんといっしょに。
It was hot, but we prayed.

暑かったけど、がんばってお祈りしました。

Family Gathering: 家族集合

A day after our arrival, my older brother's family came back to Okayama.

私たちが帰省した翌日、兄の家族たちも岡山に帰って来ました。

We went to have a delicious dinner together.

さっそく家族でおいしいご飯を食べにいきました。
A day after, my younger brother's family also came back.

その次の日に弟の家族たちも帰って来ました。
So we went to a Chinese restaurant to have dinner.

いつも行く中華料理のお店で晩ご飯を食べました。
It was very cheerful and lively at my parents' place. Their grandpa bought a cardboard house for the kids and they really enjoyed it a lot.

岡山の家はとってもにぎやかでした。おじいちゃんが子供達にと買ってくれた段ボールの家。みんなとても気に入ったみたいで、遊んでました。

Back to Okayama: 岡山に帰省

Finally Ale joined us from the States and we travelled down to Okayama together.

アレもやっと合流し、岡山に帰省しました。

Edo liked his grandma's broom a lot.

エドはおばあちゃんのほうきが気に入ったみたい。
Though it was hot, we went to a park nearby.

ちょっと暑かったけど、近くの公園に行きました。
Edo wanted to go on the swing, but this one is still too advanced for Edo.

このブランコはまだ乗れないよ〜！
Ale took Edo to all the different things in the park and Edo enjoyed it.

いろいろ遊んでもらってました。

BBQ restaurant: 焼き肉屋へ

Tonbe found this BBQ restaurant near where they live. Tonbe has been always big fun of meat!

とんべが住んでいる近くに見つけた焼き肉屋さん。いや〜、肉好きのとんべが勧めるだけあって本当に美味しかったです。

While we was bbqing, the kids were having fun together.

みんなで焼きながら、わいわいしてます。

Tokyo Dome City：東京ドームシティへ

It seems that there are so many entertainment places in Tokyo, so we went to Tokyo Dome City.

東京は本当に遊ぶ所がたくさんあるみたいで、今回は東京ドームシティへ行きました。

Of course it's the home for Tokyo Giants (baseball team), so there is a shop for the team.

もちろん、東京ドームだから、巨人のお店もありました。
Asahi really likes Minami and they look like sisters!

あーちゃんは本当にみなみが好きで、二人で姉妹みたいです。
Then we went to "Kingdom of toys" in the same site.

その後、同じ場所にある「おもちゃ王国」へ行きました。
This pooh is made of lego-ish blocks. Wow...

これもレゴみたいなブロックでできてるんですよね、、、すごい。
The place for trains and cars. A lot of boys there with their father.

そして、電車や車で遊べる場所。たくさん男の子たちがお父さんと来てました。
And also the place for blocks. (Lego-ish, but not quite Lego.)

そして、レゴみたいなセクションもありました。
Tonbe was very popular and they really enjoyed his company.

とんべおじさんは人気者みたいで、みんな遊んでもらってました。
Edo and Minami: エドとみなみ
There was a place where they placed so many different toys randomly...

そして、いろんなおもちゃがあちらこちらにおいてある場所もありました。
There was a place where they put all the wooden toys too.

木のおもちゃがたくさんおいてある所もありました。
And there was a little super market for kids to pick up some toy groceries.

そして、お買い物ができるようなお店もありました。
After shopping, they went back to their "home" to cook some dinner?! Minami and Asahi live together in this small place... cute?!

買い物をしたら、お料理をできるところもあって、みなみとあさひは二人暮らしを満喫中？
We stayed at "the kingdom" until it closed and it was so dark when we went outside. However, there were still some places to have fun. Minami went on this ride and enjoyed it a lot.

おもちゃ王国が閉まるまで遊んでたら、お外はもうまっくら。それでもまだ遊ぶところがありました。みなみはこの手漕ぎボートに乗って楽しそうでした。

Bon Festival at Minami's Kindergarden: みなみの幼稚園の盆踊り

Minami has been practicing a lot for this festival and we all went to see her performance.

みなみはこの日のために随分練習していたみたいで、みんなでみなみの踊りを見に行きました。

Asahi was tired and sleeping when she got to the kindergarden. Edo was very happy to get a little bear thing on his head.

あーちゃんは少し疲れてお休み中。エドはお面をもらって大喜び。
During the dance break, Yuta went to Minami to encourage?!

ちょっと休憩中にゆうたはみなみの元へ。
Wow! Minami well-done!

いや〜、みなみお疲れさま〜！
Asahi also woke up and she was happy with her small doggy thing on her head.

あさひも起きて、シナモンちゃんのお面をもらってうれしそうでした。
After the festival, we went to a Chinese restaurant to celebrate Minami's great dance.

お祭りの後、みんなで中華料理を食べに行って、みなみのがんばりを祝いました。
Everybody looked so happy!

It was a very enjoyable day. After dinner, we stopped by a public bath next door and went home.

とても楽しい一日でした。このとなりにある銭湯でお風呂に入って家に帰りました。
