Ricotta Cake: リコッタケーキ
Ale has been bugging me to make this cake for the last two weeks, so we decided to bake it together. This time Ale really helped me with the cake, so I think it turned out to be really nice. We haven't tried it yet since it needs to be cooled down a bit..
この２週間ばかり、「リコッタケーキ！作ってよ！リコッタケーキ、いつ作るの？」とアレからしつこいぐらいに言われていたので、一緒に作ることに。今回はアレがよく手伝ってくれたので、出来も上々のようです。まだ食べてないのだけど。（只今、冷まし中）

Ale put orange peels and lemon peels into this cake, so I am looking forward to this cake. :P
アレが今回のケーキにはオレンジの皮と檸檬の皮をすっていれてくれたので、本当に楽しみ。
Well we were making it together and there was some leftover dough, so we made our own art. I wanted to quiz Ale if he can read this kanji. For the first time, he couldn't, but with the second part, he could read two kanjis.. Can you guess what Ale made with his dough? I couldn't guess...
ま、二人で作ってて、ドウも残ったし、なんか作ってみるか〜と。私は、アレに漢字クイズをしてやれ〜と思い、作ってみました。で、「安」は分らず。でも、「本」と一緒にならべると、「あ〜、ヤスモトねぇ〜」と喜んでおりました。アレのは、なんだと思います？残念ながら、私は不正解でした。

At Marie's BBQ Party:マリーのバーベキューパーティーにて
Marie got married and invited us over to her place for the party. It was a nice day to have BBQ outside. There were many people at the party, but we did not know most of them. So we found our friends to hang out at the party.
マリーが結婚して、ま、そのお披露目パーティーみたいなものに呼んでくれました。外でバーベキューをするには持ってこいの天気で、本当にたくさん人がいたのだけど、そのほとんどが知らない人ばかりだったのだけど、友達を見つけてお話しました。こういうパーティーっておもしろいんだけど、疲れている時なんかに知らない人ばっかりって、本当に疲れるんだよねぇ。
Well, Marie is French and her husband is Austrian. Their friends are a lot of Europeans, so the pot-luck foods were really good!
マリーはフランス人だし、彼女の旦那様はオーストリア人なので、必然的にヨーロッパ人が多いおかげで、持ち寄りの食べ物はおいしかったわ〜！

Disc Golf: フリスビーゴルフ
Ale's colleague invited us to play disc golf with him this weekend, so we gave a try. I've heard and seen some students playing this game on campus at night, but I have never tried myself, so I was a little bit worried.
アレの同僚が、週末一緒にフリスビーゴルフでもと誘ってくれたので、行くことに。この遊び、夜キャンパスで学生がしているのを見たり聞いたりしたことはあったのだけど、やるのは初めてだし、ちょっと心配でした。
This is a starting point. Just like a regular golf, there is an explanation of the course. (how long the course is, etc.) Also, just like a golf, there are different kinds of discs to slow.
これが始まりの位置。普通のゴルフと一緒で、その横に、コースについての説明があり（どのぐらいの距離とか、どこが危ないとか）。そして、ゴルフのクラブと同じように、いろんな種類のフリスビーがあるみたい。
We played 9 courses. We walked a lot and I threw many times... (not a good sign). Now my right arm hurts. It was fun, but we were extremely tired after coming back home. Also today is one of the hottest days this year.
９コースまわりました。たくさん歩いたし、私はたくさん投げた。（かなり難しくて）そのせいで、右腕、右肩が痛くて。面白かったんだけど、帰って来てとっても疲労感を覚えました。それに、今日は今年でとっても暑い日だったみたいで、少し暑さにもやられたのかも。

もっと写真をとるつもりだったのだけど、ゲームに没頭しすぎて、忘れてしまいました。

La torta di rabarbaro : (Rhubarb cake)
We bought rhubarb two weeks? ago. Cleaning the inside of the refrigerator helped us to find those that we had bought but ignored them for a while. Ale had a strong passion to make "rabarbaro cake" for a long time, so today he finally made it. :)
２週間ほど前にこのルバーブっていう食材を買っていたいたんだけど、すっかり忘れていて、昨日の冷蔵庫掃除中に、「そいや、こんなん買ってたな〜、アレ」と気づいたのです。そして、アレに伝えたところ、「そうそう、ず〜っと作りたいと思っていたんだよ〜」と、ルバーブケーキ作りに再着火したようです。ちなみに、このルバーブっていう食材は、ヨーロッパやアメリカ？ではスーパーで見かけるのだけど、知らなかったら、セロリのお友達かしら？と思う感じなんだけど、全然違って檸檬のような酸味があって、なかなかおいしいので、私は好きなのです。
I offered to help him to make the cake, but he wanted to call "Ale's rabarbaro cake", so he did not let me help to make it... oh well, here it is "Ale's Rabarbaro Cake!"
ケーキ作り手伝うよ〜と手を差し伸べたのだけど、「アレのルバーブケーキ」って呼びたいからと手伝わせてもらえませんでした。というわけで、これが、「アレのルバーブケーキ」でございます。
Even closer... もっと近くで、、、
It was amazingly good! It was not too sweet nor too sour. Perfect. It was very addictive since we both ate two more slices after this one... It seems that rhubarbs are in season, so I might have more chances to eat "Ale's Rabarbaro cake" from now on. :P Well, after Ale took out this cake from the oven, we took a walk for one hour outside in order not to feel guilty to eat the cake. Therefore, it wasn't that hard nor that guilty to eat two slices. :P
ほんまに美味しかったわ〜！甘すぎず、酸っぱすぎず〜！本当にパーフェクトでした。とっても美味しくて、これが最初のスライスですが、この後もう２スライスほどパクパク食べてしまいました。おいしかったわ〜。ほんまに。どうやら、ルバーブの季節みたいだから、ひょっとしたら、「アレのルバーブケーキ」が頻繁に作られるようになるかも。もちろん、このケーキが焼けてから、こころよく罪悪感なく食べられるようにと、１時間ほど外にウォーキングに行った私たちだから、ぺろりと食べられました。おそろしや〜。

Furniture Arrange:模様変え
On Saturday morning, we were urge to clean our apartment so badly. When I got up, Ale was already in the bathroom, cleaning... So while Ale was cleaning the bathroom, I worked on the kitchen. Then we both moved to our living room and bedroom after. In the living room, when we were flipping the carpet under the table, it occurred to me that we can change the position of the table.
土曜日の朝、むしょうにアパートの掃除をしたくなりまして、、、。私が起きた時には、すでにアレはバスルームの掃除をしてたりなんかして、、、。だからアレがバスルーム掃除をしてる間に、私はキッチンを。で、二人でリビングルームと、その後ベッドルームを。で、リビングルームで、テーブルの下に敷いてあるカーペットをひっくり返す時に、「そうだ！」とひらめいて、テーブルの位置も変えて見ました。

He looked really happy. By the way, when he was walking with his totoro sweat-shirt on at the farmer's market, the lady came up to us, asking us where we got this shirt. I guess he is now becoming a representative of Japanese culture. :P
とってもうれしそうなアレ。ところで、このトトロのトレーナーを着て、ファーマーズマーケットを歩いていたら、ある女性がやってきて、「そのトレーナー、とっても素敵！どこで買ったのかぜひ教えてくれない？」と。誇らしげに答えるアレを見て、アレもしっかり日本文化の広報してるな〜と思ったりなんかしました。
Water was so clean and there was a nice sunshine... So while I was eating pizza, I couldn't take my eyes off from this vase...
水が澄んでいて、なかなかいい日差しが入って来て、、ピザを食べながら、この花瓶の部分をず〜っと眺めてしまいましたよ。

There are too many restaurants to go, so we bought this book to help our decision making for restaurants.
レストランがありすぎて、、、どこに行けばいいか分からなくなることもあったりして、今日ついに買いました。この本。Most of them were fairly expensive, but we found several reasonable ones already that we want to try.
Do any of you want to join us in this project? :P
どのレストランもとっても高いものばかりなのだけど、まあ手頃で行けそうなのも見つけました。このプロジェクト、なかなかいいと思いませんか。

Back To S.F. Symphony Hall AGAIN:
サンフランシスコシンフォニーホールへ再び
Once we bought a ticket for a concert, they started offering more tickets with some good deals, so we bought some more. :p
あるコンサートのチケットを買ったら、次から次へと色々なコンサートのチケットを割引紹介してくれるようになり、ついつい買ってしまったりして、、
We decided to try all different kinds of seats in the hall and this time we were on the top. For this piano concert, this was not really a good choice, though.
で、こうなったら、シンフォニーホールのありとあらゆる席を試してみようと思い、今回は一番上の席でした。でも、こういうピアノコンサートには、あまりいいチョイスとは言えなかった！
S.F. Symphony Hall is located across S.F. civic hall. I guess French style building it is, isn't it?
シンフォニーはサンフランシスコ市役所の向かいの建物。たぶん、建物のスタイルはフランス風だと思うんだけど、、

We went to Japan Town before going to the concert and there we found a kitchen just like my mother's. So Ale insisted on taking this picture for her.
コンサートに行く前に、ジャパンタウンに行ったのだけど、そこで、うちの母さんの台所とそっくりなのを見つけて、アレが写真を取って、お母さんに知らせるべき！と言うもんだから、、。

Birthday Party for our friend's baby
友達の子どもの誕生日パーティー
Well, Hannah-chan became one year old and we were invited to celebrated her birthday.
She grew so much for one year.
花菜ちゃんが一歳を迎え、その誕生日に呼ばれました。一年で随分成長するんですね〜！
We were enjoying a slice of the cake. Very good one!
ケーキを頂いております。
As you can see from this picture, we felt a little bit out of place without our own kids... Maybe some day... maybe...
この写真をみての通り、子どもがいない私達って、なんとなく場違いのような気がしないでもなかったけど、、ま、いつか、そういう日が来るかな。
