For Easter ?: イースターに向けて？


We found this packet of chocolates at the supermarket and couldn't help but buying it. These bugs did not stay in our kitchen too long. They went away so fast.

スーパーでこんなチョコを発見。（イースターがもうすぐだからかな？っていうか私にはその日がいつかいまいちよくわかってないのだけど。）こんなかわいいラッピングなのだけど、だれかさんのお腹に入るとラッピングもなにもないっか。

Present from the year of 2000:2000年からのプレゼント
This wrapped book has been sitting on the bookshelf for a long time, so I asked Ale what it was. Ale told me that this was the present that Marco gave to him when Ale was leaving Italy for the States in 2000. Marco said to Ale, "Open it when you feel lonely." Even though there were the moments when Ale felt really lonely, he did not open this present. I have been wondering what kind of book Marco got him in order to conquer his loneliness, so we decided to open it together.

本棚にこのピンクの新聞紙に包まれた本がずいぶん長いこと置いてあった。アレに「これ、何？」と聞くと、語ってくれました。「これは、僕が2000年の９月にアメリカに向けてイタリアを去る時（とっても悲しかったんだけどね）、マルコが、「さびしい時に開けてくれ」と渡してくれたんだよ。それから、何度か寂しい時があったけど、何だか開けそびれちゃったんだな」と。それを聞いて、マルコが、どんな本を孤独克服のために買ったのか気になったので、一緒に開けようよ！と今晩開けてみることにした。
I made this situation special by making a special herb tea and chocolates from Italy.
この瞬間のためにと、特別なハーブティーを入れ、イタリアからのチョコも用意した。

開けてみました。そして、本は、こういう本でした。

This is the book. um.. well, I was expecting something funny like joke selections or comics, but since Marco is a mathematician. In any case, Ale said, "it is kind of Marco-ish" and started reading it that night.

しぶっ！確かにね、、マルコさんは、数学者だから、、だけど、これが孤独を救うとは思えないけど、アレは「マルコらしいな」と言ってさっそく夜読んでいたな。てっきり、ジョーク集とかコミック系かと思ったけど。深い。

Mickey Stroller: ミッキーさんのショッピングカート

Again we were back to the same shopping mall. This time we found this Mickey stroller. Minami was really happy with this Mickey until she saw Pooh's stroller, Doraemon's, Picachu's... "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence"
再び、おなじショッピングモールに来ました。今回は運良くミッキーさんのカートが。ミナミもこのミッキー号にご満足。プーさん、ドラえもん、ピカチュウのを見るまでは、、。
ほかの人が乗っていると、そっちの方がとってもよく見えちゃうんだよねぇ、、。

Expression: 一芸？On a Japanese TV gourmet show, the reporter goes "ma i u~!" when the food was good. Here Minami is. Minami can express herself just like those reporters. :)
「マイウ〜」の芸を身につけているみなみ。かなりおもしろい。このまま表現豊かな子供に育っておくれ〜！

Teppan yaki Night: 鉄板焼きへ

My mom and I got to the restaurant earlier than my dad and Chiichan.
私と母は、父とちーちゃんより早く着いてしまったよう。

My dad looked really tired... (I don't know why.) We were ready for good beef!
父さんはなぜかとってもお疲れな感じ。美味しい肉を食べるぞ〜！

Look! this is BEEF! 見よ！これが肉だ〜！

We had some vegetables and corn soup as well. Vegetables were good too, but it was difficult to beat this beef.
お野菜とコーンポタージュスープも付いてきた。お野菜も美味しかったけど、やっぱりこのお肉にはかなわなかったな。

Play with LEGO: レゴ遊び
I made this lion for Minami and asked her to put two eyes on this lion, but she put 6 eyes. This lion can catch any prey with this many eyes.
ミナミにこのライオンを組み立ててあげ、二つのおめめをつけてあげてね〜と言ったのに、６つも目をつけていた。このライオンは、どんな獲物も見つけられる無敵ライオンだな。

Minami got more interested in eyes stickers than lego itself. Uhm...
ミナミは、レゴよりも、レゴに付いてきたこの目のシールに夢中。子供って、、わからん。

It's fun! She started opening from one bag to another.
たのしいよ〜！次から次へとレゴの袋を開けていくミナミ。

Minami and I played with lego together. Minami requested what to make and I built them for her and then she put eyes on them after. Of course this elephant has one eye on this side, but on the other side has 6 eyes.
ミナミと私はレゴ遊びに。ミナミが何を作ってほしいかをリクエストし、私がそれを作り、その後、ミナミが目をつけるという遊び。もちろん、このゾウさん、こちら側は一つの目ですが、反対側には６つも目があるんですよ。子供って創造力があるというか、、

We found this stroller at a Japanese supermarket. Minami went crazy for this cart. After we were done with shopping, Minami cried, "I don't wanna go home..."
日本のスーパーではとってもエンターテェニング。ミナミはこれがかなり気に入ったよう。買い物を終えたものの、みなみは、「おうち、かえらな〜い！」と大泣き。よっぽど気に入ったのかな？

In Tokyo: 東京で
My older brother's family moved to Chiba this weekend, so my parents and I went there to help them.
兄家族が今週千葉へ引越。うちの両親と私はさっそく手伝いに千葉へ。

We went to a restaurant to have lunch. To go out, Minami grabbed her Anpanman doll and her bag? (which Ale and I bought it for my mom as her birthday present.).

ランチにレストランにでかけた。外出するために、みなみは、アンパンマンとバッグ（アレと私が母の誕生日プレゼントにあげたバック）を手にしていた。

We went to IKEA in Chiba to get some stuff for their new apartment. There were many people in IKEA.
千葉のイケヤにアパートに必要なものを買いに出かけた。イケヤは人が多かったなぁ〜。T-T

We went to a nice restaurant near their new apartment. This place was popular so we had to wait for a while before they got us a table. Minami was patiently waiting with us.

兄家族の新居の近くにあるレストランへ。ここはとても人気があるらしくちょっと待たなくてはいけなかった。みなみも一緒にいい子に待っていた。

Lunch with Kaori in Kyoto : 京都でかおりとランチ

I haven't been to an Indian restaurant for a long time, so I requested to go to an Indian restaurant. Curry, Tandri Chicken, soup, and Nan breads!
ずいぶん、インド料理のレストランに行ってなかったので、インド料理レストランへ行こうとリクエストした。カレーに、タンドリーチキン、スープに、ナンとおいしかった！

We decided to take a walk to Nanzenji. My work place used to be very close to Nanzenji, but I did not go there enough. It was a nice and quiet atmosphere.
南禅寺に行くことにした。前の職場は、南禅寺にとても近かったけど、あんまり行かなかったなぁと思った。とてももの静かでいい雰囲気だった。

Gathering at Izakaya : 居酒屋で集会

Eiko-san and Dan-san introduced this Izakaya to us a few months ago and we always wanted to go back to this place again. Finally we could make it. It was fun and we ate a lot of good things.
永子さんとダンさんが数ヶ月前に教えてくれた居酒屋さん。いつかもう一度行きたいと思っていただけに、やっとその思いが現実に。楽しく、美味しいときを過ごした。

Commute by bike from today: 今日から自転車通勤

Ale bought a monthly pass for train this month. It takes 20-30 minutes by car to get to his company whereas it takes the same amount of time by bike (15 min) +train (5 min) +bike (10 min). However, considering the traffic jam, bike/train is less stressful. Ale prefers bike/train to car. Today is the first day to go there by bike.

今月は電車の定期を購入した。車だと通勤に20分から30分かかる。自転車（15分）、電車（５分）、自転車（10分）で同じぐらいだけど、渋滞を考えると断然自転車／電車の方がストレスがなくて済むとか。（それに、ちょっと運動不足だしね。）というわけで、アレは自転車／電車で行きたいみたい。今日は、その初日。
