Stay in Alps for one week:

アルプス山脈の１週間滞在。

We decided to spend one week in Alps.

１週間アルプスで過ごすことにしました。

Nonni's house in the mountains.

おじいちゃん／おばあちゃんの山の家。
A nice park nearby. 近くにある公園にて。

Edo looks very fun too!

エドも楽しそう！
I think we might have this kind of play structure when I was young.

なつかし〜！こんな遊具もあったわ！

But if I ride on this structure, no doubt that I get motion sick easily.

でも、私はこんなのに乗ったら、酔いそう。
Nonno's sundial.

シルビオパパの日時計。本格的です。
Because of the weather or altitude?!, Edo ate a lot during our stay in mountains.

気候のせいなのか、それとも高度のせいなのか、エドは山の滞在中、本当によく食べました。
アルプスです。At Alps mountains.
Edo and Ale. エドとアレ。
We took a short hike on the mountains.

山でちょっとしたハイキングをしました。
This is another park in the town. The park was very interesting and spacious.

これまた違うところの公園ですが、なかなか面白くて広々とした公園でした。
Nonno enjoyed his ride too.

おじいちゃんも乗り物に乗ってました。

They took me a castle near where we stayed.

近くのお城に連れて行ってくれました。
There is a little nice town there too.

そこにはちょっとした城下町みたいな街もあって、なかなかよかったです。

これは、城の上にて。
There were so many cows there and Edo learned cows in Italian there.

本当にたくさん牛がいたので、エドもイタリア語で「牛」を学びました。

There was a game table in the restaurant in front of the house. Edo was playing with Ale.

家の前のレストランにはこんなゲームもありました。お父さんと遊び中。

Visit in Como Lake: コモ湖へ

Since Nonni has a friend who has their house near Como Lake, we were invited to their place.

アレのお父さん達の友達がコモ湖の近くに家をもっているとかで、招待してくれました。

この銅像の名前、、、忘れちゃった。
At a garden at their place. It was a very nice garden and Edo enjoyed the place a lot.

そのお宅の庭にて。とても素敵な庭で、エドもすごく楽しんでました。

It was a nice afternoon to spend sometime with them.

こんな感じで、ゆったりとした一日を過ごしました。

Visit the aunt in her monastery.

修道院にいる伯母さんを訪ねて。

We drove 2 hours away from Milan to visit Ale's aunt in the monastery.

ミラノから車で２時間、修道院にいるアレの伯母さんを訪ねました。
On our way, we stopped by a famous restaurant for lunch.

途中で、有名なレストランにて昼ご飯。
In that town, there is a hot spring, so Edo was very curious.

その街には、温泉が涌いていて、エドも興味津々でした。
エドは自分でさわるのは怖いので、私に手をつけろ！と命令中。

Edo was afraid of touching and asked me to touch it.
When arriving at the monastery, an aunt from Genova brought a bubble machine toy for Edo and Edo went crazy for this machine.

修道院に着いて、ジェノバのおばさんがシャボン玉のおもちゃをくれました。すごく気に入りました。
電池がなくなるまで、押し続けていました。

He kept pressing it until the batteries were all out.
And then we met zia Lulu.

そして、ルル伯母さんに会いました。
We brought several toys to make sure that Edo wouldn't get bored.

エドがあきないようにといろいろ持って行っておきました。
At night, we stayed at a hotel nearby and we had dinner together with zii from Genova.

夜は、近くのホテルに泊まりました。ジェノバの叔父さんと伯母さんと一緒に晩ご飯をしました。
Next day again, Edo was still holding that machine.

翌日も、エドはあのシャボン玉のおもちゃを手に、うろうろしてました。
This is a monastery's car and it wasn't locked, so Edo entered the car and enjoyed its driver's seat.

修道院の車、、かぎが空いていたみたいで、エドは中に乗り込んで、運転席を満喫してました。

Summer vacation in Milan: ミラノでの夏休み

We went back to Italy in June. For the first three weeks, we were in the north.

６月にイタリアに帰省しました。最初の３週間は、北イタリアを満喫しました。

Edo was test-driving 500 at a toy shop in Milan.

チンクエチェントに試乗中。
This is a dining/kitchen where we stayed in Milan.

これは、ミラノに滞在中の時のダイニングキッチンです。
There is a cafe under the apartment and we had breakfast once there.

アパートの下にはカフェがあって、一度そこで朝ご飯をしました。
Milano has a big park in the center, and in this park there is a car like this too.

ミラノの真ん中に大きな公園があって、その中にこんな車に乗ったり、
Train ride in the park.

こんな電車に乗ったり、
Helicopter rider in the park.

ヘリコプターに乗ったり、
motorcycle ride in the park,

オートバイに乗ったり、しました。
And in Italy, of course, GELATO. We ate really a lot of ice creams everyday...

そして、イタリアと言えば、ジェラート。本当に毎日よく食べました。アイスを。
Edo found a water fountain in the park.

エドは噴水を見つけて、長いこと遊んでました。
Edo was test-"RIDE" in Ferrali.

Letizia's visit in S.F. in June.

アレのいとこのレティツィアさんがサンフランシスコに来ました。

Letizia came to California with her group from her university and spent one dinner with us in S.F. Unfortunately Enrico was in Europe when she was here.

レティツィアさんは大学の研究グループと一緒にカリフォルニアをまわっていて、サンフランシスコで夕食を一緒にしました。残念ながら、エンリコはこの時ヨーロッパに行っていて、いなかったのだけど。

Elisa and I picked this restaurant on line, but it looked like a diner.... sorry Letizia...

エリザと私でオンラインで見つけたこのレストラン。なんだかめちゃくちゃアメリカンなダイナーで、、レティツィアには申し訳ない事をしました。
