Get together with Magnafiume in Berkeley:
エンリコ夫婦とバークレーにて。
The weather was good, so we went to Berkeley to hang out with Magnafiume.
天気もいいし、バークレーに遊びに行ってきました。
We took a walk around their neighborhood. Edo likes going out a lot and whenever we are out, he is always looking around and seems to be enjoying himself.
エンリコ夫婦の家の近くを散歩しました。英土もお散歩が大好きみたいで、外に出るときょろきょろしています。
Seeing Sandrino again. Whenever they meet, they both grow so fast and so much.
サンドリーノとの再会。あうたびに、お互い大きくなっていってます。
We had an internet conference with their Italian nonni.
イタリアのおじいちゃんおばあちゃんとインターネットカンファランスです。
Since we are going out in Berkeley, Edo dresses up a little bit.
バークレーにおでかけだから、少しおめかしの英土さんです。
This is usual Edo at home. He is in his pajamas with his bib.
これは、でかける前の英土。家では、もっぱら、パジャマによだれかけ。

New gears for Edo: 英土のニューアイテム
As Edo grows, we have to get him new stuff.
英土の成長とともに、いろいろ新しいものも買ってます。
This is a string for back carrying, which Hitomi gave to us as a present. We couldn't use it until Edo becomes 3 months old. Now he became 3 months old and we tried it out finally. Edo looked a little bit confused with this new position and looked around in my back.
これは、おんぶひも。ひとみちゃんからのプレゼントで、おんぶは三ヶ月までできなかったのですが、ついに３ヶ月も来て、さっそく使い始めました。英土は、新しい体勢に少しきょろきょろしてました。
When we go out, Ale holds Edo with baby bjorn. Ale was trying to give a piece of croissant, but Edo had no interest yet.
おでかけの時は、アレがビヨーンをつけて抱っこしてくれます。クロワッサンをあげようとしていますが、英土にはまだちょっと早いかな。
New Stroller Maclaren! We waited for this stroller until Edo became 3 months. When you go out, there are so many Maclarens. Edo got this gear for his go-out gear.
新しいベビーカーのマクラーレン。英土が３ヶ月になるまでこのベビーカーを待ってました。外出すると、周りはマクラーレンばかり。英土もここに来て、マクラーレンになりました。カメラを向けると、「僕もマクラーレンですけど、何か？」みたいな顔をしてくれました。
California is also getting a little bit colder and he needs a warm hat for going out. However, Edo does not like hats much.
カリフォルニアも少しずつ寒くなって来て、外出には暖かい帽子も必要になってきました。でも、正直、あんまり帽子は好きじゃないみたいなんだけど、、。
Recently, our washing machine is almost always in use and more than half of the stuff is Edo's. Edo's socks are so small and cute but many. Edo throws up, poohs, pees, and sweats. We change him and a few seconds later he throws up right away and we change him again...so never ending in changing every day.
最近、よく洗濯機をまわしますが、半分以上が英土のもの。ソックスなんか小さいけど、数だけは負けてません。服も吐いたりおもらししたりで、着替えさせて、ふと振り返ると、もう吐いてたりして、毎日すごく着替えます。

To San Francisco: サンフランシスコへ
It was a nice Sunday and would be the last weekend with Ale's parents in California, so we went to San Francisco to enjoy ourselves.
とても晴れた日曜日で、カリフォルニアでアレの両親と過ごせる最後の週末ってこともあって、サンフランシスコに行こうってことになりました。
We walked around in Golden Gate Park. There are many interesting stuff and people too.
ゴールデンゲートパークを色々歩いてまわりました。おもしろい物がたくさんあるし、来ている人を観察するだけでも楽しかったです。
We went inside of De Young Museum to have some coffee break.
ディヤング美術館のカフェにて、お茶をしました。
There is a nice view from the top of this museum, so we went up there.
この美術館の最上階からの眺めがなかなかいいので、上まで行ってみました。
There is a rose garden in the park too.
薔薇のガーデンも公園内にあって、いろいろみてまわりました。シルビオパパは、薔薇が大好きで、イタリアの自宅にもすごい数の薔薇を植えているのであります。
For dinner, we got together with Magnafiume and had some Japanese foods. In fact, everybody was looking forward to having some Japanese beer but we got a table outside of the restaurant, they couldn't serve us any beer... very sad.
その後、夕飯で、エンリコ家族達と合流して、日本料理のレストランへ。実は、みんな日本のビールを飲む気マンマンだったのに、私たちの席が、レストランの外のテーブルだったため、ビールを注文できないはめに。アレの両親は「なんで？！」の連続でしたが、「アメリカだからね〜」と連呼するしかありませんでした。

Silvio suggested to go out for dinner to this restaurant.

For the first time, Ale had a lobster at this place. They were good too! Edo was sleeping when we got there, but I guess the smell of the lobster woke him up?!
このレストランで、初めてのロブスターを挑戦。とっても美味しかった。英土は着いた時から寝てたのだけど、ロブスターの匂いに釣られたのか、起きちゃいました。

Enrico's Birthday at Magnafiume: エンリコ宅でエンリコの誕生日
We got together for the weekend.
エンリコの誕生日で一緒にバークレーで集いました。

They cooked vongole pasta.
ボンゴレパスタを作ってくれました。
Soon after we arrived, our little ones were getting interested in each other?!
着くやいなや、いとこ同士興味を持ち始めたのかな？！
Some said that they look alike... are they?!
アレの親戚が、アレッサンドロとサンドリーノはそっくりだとか、、そうっすかね？！
While we were eating lunch, Sandrino and Edo were playing?! together?! Sandrino recently found out that he has his ears and now he was checking if Edo has his own too?!
私たちがランチを食べている間、サンドリーノと英土は一緒に？遊んで？いたみたいです。サンドリーノは最近自分に耳があることがわかってきたみたいで、どうやら英土の耳にも興味深々です。「お、こいつも、ある、ある、ある」って感じなんでしょうか。
They both started crying for hunger, so we fed them. Of course after they ate, they both fell asleep.
二人ともお腹がすいて泣きはじめ、二人で授乳しました。もちろん、授乳後は、二人とも眠ってしまいました。
Yes, they have the same shape of their head. Coming from Magnani family?!
確かに、二人の頭の形って、同じなのよね、、、。どうやら、マニャーニ家の形なんでしょうかね。One woke up and the other woke up too.
一人が起きれば、もう一人も起きるって感じ。Though they were both interested in each other, they don't have the control over their arms and legs, so they are doing a lot of eye contact.
お互い興味を持ちつつも、まだコントロールできない手足の二人は、アイコンタクト！

The new quarter has started and I am back to teaching now. While I am teaching, Ale's mother is taking care of Edo at home, but on Friday I finish teaching in the morning, so Ale's mother came to the campus with me in the morning and in the afternoon we went around on campus together.
新学期も始まり、教職にもどりました。教えている間は、アレのお母さんが英土を家でみてくれているのだけど、金曜日は午前中で授業も終わるので、朝一緒にキャンパスに来て、午後キャンパス内をうろうろしました。
Of course, we went to the top of Hoover tower, which is the symbol of Stanford!
もちろん、シンボルのフーバータワーにものぼりました。
On the top of Hoover Tower. It was a little bit windy, but nice day to see the view from the top.フーバータワーの上で。少し風があったけど、いい天気で眺めもよかったです。

After walking around on campus, we stopped by a yogurt place to have some snack. :P
キャンパスをうろうろした後、ヨーグルト屋で一休みしました。
