To "Clementine":クレメンティーンというフランス料理店へ
After the exhibition, we tried another new restaurant nearby. My usual gourmet guidebook recommends this place.
美術館鑑賞の後は、新しいレストランを試してみようということになりまして、おなじみのグルメ本のおすすめ店に行ってみました。

料理がやってきて、お腹をすかせていた私たちは、、、
We were very happy with the foods.
お料理もとてもおいしく、、、
Ale, Enrico and I ordered meat. It was very tender with a delicious sauce.
アレ、エンリコ、私は肉料理を注文。とってもやらかくて、ソースも本当に美味しかったです。
Elisa had this dish. She let me try some and it was really good!
エリザが注文したのはこちらで、味見をさせて頂きましたが、おいしかった！！
We ordered two different kinds of desserts. (crème brûlée and French toast.)
デザートは２種類で、クリームビュルレとフレンチトースト
The icecream on the top goes well with this toast...
上にのっているアイスクリームがとっても美味しかった。
It was a nice get-together night...
とってもいい夕食でした。

Chihuly Exhibition: チュフリー展
Chihuly is an American glass sculptor. I did not know much about him, but since he spent some time in Venice to learn Venetian glasses, we went there to see his exhibition.
チュフリーはアメリカのガラスの芸術家なのだけど、あまり知らなくて、どうやらベニスに行って、ベネチアンガラスに影響を受けたとかでかれの個展に足を運んでみました。

せっかく来たんだし、たくさん写真でもとっとけ〜、みたいな感じになりました。
It was Friday night that we decided to go, and it was quite amazing that there were many people. According to Ale's single colleague, museum is one of the best places to meet other people for a single person, so after the exhibition, I observed the people.
金曜日の晩に行くことにしたのだけど、かなり人がたくさんいて、少し驚きました。でも、アレッサンドロの独身の同僚によると、美術館は独身にとって出会いの場所なんだとか、、、。というわけで、作品を見終わってからも、会場に来ている人をじっと観察しました。出会いの場所ね、、、、。

Branzino dinner: 夕飯：「鱸（すずき）」
We went to an Asian market and Ale found this branzino in the fish section. It was a lot cheaper than any other place, so we bought it and cooked it for dinner.
あるアジアの食材店に行ったところ、アレが魚介コーナーにて、鱸を発見。ほかのどこよりも安く売っていて、迷わず買い、晩ご飯にしました。
Since Ale likes this way of cooking fish, so...
アレがこの料理が好きだし、オーブン焼きはとっても簡単なので、最近は魚はこの料理法ばっかりだな。

Ale is about attacking the fish. Ale is getting good at chopsticks. He used to say, "When it comes to sharing a fish with Emiko, using chopsticks is a big disadvantage for Ale-chan..." but these days, not so much...
アレが魚にとりかかるところ、、、。アレも箸使いがかなり上手になってきたと思う。以前は、「えみこと箸を使って魚を分けて食べると、アレにとってはかなり不利だよなぁ〜」と言っていたけど、最近ではそうでもないと思うけど、、、。

Our long weekend: 連休
Thanks to the Independence Day, we had a long weekend. :) However, we did not plan anything, so we had a rather relaxing time. On Saturday, we went to an exhibition at SFMOMA with Magnafiume. I just knew one or two paintings by Frida and did not know much about her before, but now after the exhibition, I enjoyed more paintings of hers.
After we enjoyed the exhibition, we went out to a Medeterinian restaurant nearby, but the restaurant was not that great. I forgot to bring my camera with me, so no pictures this time...

独立記念日で、連休となりました。とはいえ、どこに行くというわけでもなく、かなりのんびりゆっくりしたお休みになりました。しいて言うなら、土曜日に、サンフランシスコの現代美術館で催されていたフリーダ・カーロ展に行きました。そこで、エンリコ夫婦と合流して一緒に楽しんだ後、地中海料理のレストランへ行ったけど、いまいち。カメラも忘れて、写真もとれず、、、です。
