Small trips in Japan: 日本での日帰り旅行

We bought one-week JR pass, so we made a few trips in Japan. Nara and Kyoto.
１週間のJRパスを買ったので、ちょっと小旅行しました。奈良と京都へ

Edo got so excited to see deer walking around.

Talking of Todaiji, this is what everybody has to try! Edo made it no problems!
東大寺といえば、これでしょ！？エドは難なく通れました。

We visited Niji-castle, but it was closed for some special events.  :(
二条城に行ったのだけど、何かの特別展で閉鎖でした。残念！

After that, we went to Nanzenji-temple.
その後、南禅時へ。

We played hide-and-seek for long time..
ここの下水道後で、かくれんぼして長いこと遊びました。

Then from Nanzenji, we went to "road of Philosophy".  Edo might call this road "ice-cream road".
その後は哲学の道へ。エドはアイスクリームの道してましたね。

Travel to Kyushu: 九州旅行

Ale has been wanting to visit Kyushu but we never did, so this time we decided to make a trip to Kyushu.  We went to Beppu in Kyushu, where is famous for hot springs.
アレは随分前から九州に行きたいと言っていたのだけど、なかなか行けず、今回は行ってみようということになりました。別府のお湯に行って来ました。

We went to a tour for visiting various hot springs.
いろんな温泉をまわる、温泉巡りに行きました。

It looks very hot! I was hoping to hop in those hot springs, but they are all outside and extremely hot.
すごい熱そう！温泉巡りなんて言うから、てっきり温泉につかれるもんだと思っていたのだけど、全部外だし、すごい熱くて入ったら死にます。

There are some hot spring sites combined with the zoo, so Edo could enjoy some animals.
この地獄巡りの場所ですが、どこだったか忘れたけど動物園も一緒になっていて、エドは喜んでましたね。

フラミンゴもいました。そういや、フラミンゴの母乳って赤いですって。で授乳しすぎるとだんだんお母さんはだんだん白くなるとか、、、。
There were flamingos.  Talking of Flamingos, their breast milk is red, and therefore when the mother breast feed their babies too much, the color of the mothers become white...

Crocodiles as well.
わにもいましたね。

At a hotel, we are provided their yukata (summer kimono) and Edo also put it on for the first time.
旅館でエドも初めてゆかたに袖を通しました。

We visited a castle there too.  There is a white snake there and they had us touch this snake too, but they didn't allow us to take a picture of the snake because supposedly this white snake is a "GOD"...
お城にも行きました。ここには白蛇がいて、その白蛇にも触らせてもらいました。でも写真はだめだって言われて、とれずじまいでしたが。

Japanese breads are really good even when we buy them at a convenient store.

At the station before we headed back to Okayama.
岡山に帰る電車待ちです。

We went back to Japan for a little bit less that 3 weeks for vacation.  It was short but fun!
日本に３週間弱ほど帰省しました。短かったけど、楽しかった！

For the first three days, we stayed in Tokyo with Tonbe's family.  They took us to Yokohama for a day.
最初の３日間は東京のとんべの所に滞在させてもらいました。横浜にも連れて行ってもらいました。

Edo really likes Asahi and wanted to hold her hands whenever he can.
エドはあーちゃんが好きみたいで、チャンスがあれば手をつないでもらってました。

They also got an ice cream together.
アイスクリームも一緒に食べました。

After that, we went back to Okayama and a picture with my mom.
その後、岡山に帰って、母と。 

Ale enjoyed Japanese beer.
アレも日本のビールを満喫してました。

Edo eats a lot with Asahi.
エドもあーちゃんと一緒ならどんどん食べてました。

Ginger House making at school: ジンジャークッキーの家を作る

Edo is showing what he made.  Basically he just had to stick all the sugar stuff on his empty milk pack. エドが誇らしげに見せてるんですけど、要するに、牛乳パックに甘い物をどんどんつけて行くという家なんですわ。グレーテルの家を思い出すわ〜！

You can start eating when you feel you are done... Edo became very sugar high after... ま、自分が出来たと思ったらやめてそれを食べ始めていいらしいんですが、そのあと、エドのテンションはかなり高かったわ〜！やっぱ、糖分とりすぎよね。
