Some activities in April: ４月の週末

It's been a while since I updated the blog last time... Time flies.

前回更新したのはいつだったっけ？ほんとうにあっという間に時間は流れます。

This is "flying a kite!". Edo was more interested in getting the fallen kite than flying the kite.

これは凧揚げ。エドは空にとぶ凧よりも、落ちた凧をひろいにいくほうが楽しいみたい。
This is Easter's Egg Hunt. Edo is interested in eggs on the ground.

これはイースターのエッグハント。興味深々です。
On the same day, there was a fire truck and they let us put this jacket on. Somehow here in the US or in California, there are always some fire trucks for this kind of events. I guess this is how Edo might end up wanting to become a firefighter some day?!?

同じ日に消防車が来ていて、こんなこともさせてくれました。こちらのこういうイベントにはなぜかいつも消防車が来るのだよね。こうして知らず知らずのうちに、エドもいつか「消防士になりたい！」とか言い始めてしまうのだろうか、、、。

With Magnafiume: エンリコ家族と

These days Edo and Sandrino play well together, so we get together when we can to hang out.

最近、エドもサンドリーノも一緒によく遊ぶようになって、できるだけ会える時は会うようになりました。

One of their favorite plays.

大好きな遊びの一つ。
They jump off or roll off from the top of the sofa.

こんな感じでとびおりたり、ころがり降りたりしてます。
This is the toy that Edo found in a park in Berkeley.

バークレーのいろんなおもちゃがランダムにおいてある公園で。
They looked happy on the slides no matter how old they are.

滑り台も楽しそう！何歳になっても、楽しいもんですかね。
Another weekend, we went to Mur Woods with their friend visiting them.

別の週末に、一緒にミュアウッズ国立公園に、エンリコ家族の友達の家族と一緒に行きました。
Ale dipped Edo in the water since Edo likes water so much, but I assume that we are not supposed to enter the river...

お水が大好きなエドを川の水につけるアレ。でも、この川、、入っちゃだめなんぢゃない？！
Edo became a kid of another family, no problem.

エドはどこの家の子にもなれそうです。
After running around, Edo took his milk break on the lap of the bear.

走ったりいろいろした後は、くまの上で牛乳。
They were very excited about these bears.

子供達はこの木の熊が気に入ったみたい。
Ale also.

そして、アレも。

Play Date with Chiara:キアラちゃんとプレイデート

We met Chiara in this very park when they were still less than one year. Chiara is half Italian and half French.

まだ二人とも１歳になっていない時にこの公園であいました。キアラは半分イタリア人半分フランス人です〜！

They were chasing each other!

二人でおっかけっこ〜！


What they were chasing was bubbles!

何をおっかけていたか、と言いますと、シャボン玉です。




Chiara was very cute and nice, and Edo liked her too. Hope that we can get together again like this.

キアラちゃんは本当にかわいくていい子。エドもキアラちゃんのことを好きみたい。またこうやって遊べるといいなぁ。

Yoshiko and Bjorn Visit: よしことビィヨーンが来てくれました！

During my spring break, Yoshiko and Bjorn came to our place for 10 days.

春休みにちょうどよしことビィヨーンが１０日ほど遊びに来てくれました。

When is the last time that we saw each other?!? but it was a lot of fun to get together like this.

幸子とは何年ぶりだったかしら？！でも、いろいろ話せて楽しかった〜！
It's the first time for Edo and Ale to meet them, but they seemed to enjoy their company and we hope Yoshiko and Bjorn felt the same. :)

エドとアレは二人に会うのは初めてだったみたいだけど、楽しそうでした。
One weekend we went to Berkeley to get together with Magnafiume.

週末、エンリコの家族と一緒にバークレーを散策しました。
We had lunch at the famous pizza place "Cheese board" in Berkeley.

バークレーで有名なピザ屋のチーズボードへ。
We went to see San Francisco view as well.

サンフランシスコのベイブリッジにも行きました。
We had some fresh oysters.

生カキも食べました。
The week that they came was a really rainy week. (Almost every single day) On this day it was clear in the morning and we came up here but then soon after we took this picture, it started raining....

二人が来てくれた週は本当に雨続きで、この日は大丈夫だと出かけたのだけど、この数分後には降り始めてしまいました。雨男のビィヨーンと。
For lunch we went to a famous hamberger shop in Sausalito. Edo enjoyed the foods here and said, "Buono!" with this gesture.

サルサリートにあるとても有名なハンバーガー屋に行きました。エドもヴォーノと言ってましたな。
They made a Sweden dessert. Edo also joined them in making it.

二人がスウェーデンのデザートを作ってくれました。エドもしっかり参加。
And this is what they made!

そして、できたのがこれ！美味しかったなぁ。
We went to Golden Gate Park for one day. Edo enjoyed the park...

一日、ゴールデンゲートパークにも行きました。エドも公園を満喫してました。
They wanted to go to Redwood parks, but instead we came this small redwoods areas in the park.

行きたかったレッドウッドの公園にはいけなかったから、ここの公園の縮小バージョンで。
We had lunch at a Cafe in the museum in the park.

お昼は、公園内にある美術館のカフェにて。
They wanted to try some Mexican foods, so Ale asked his Mexican colleague about some recommended Mexican restaurants. So here we were at a Mexican restaurant.

メキシコ料理をということになり、アレの同僚に教えてもらった、お勧めのメキシコ料理のレストランへ。
It's been a long long time since I had Mexican foods, so they were really good but a little bit heavy...

メキシコ料理自体とっても久しぶりだった。おいしかったけど、ちょっと重かったかな。
Bjorn was very curious about very "American" places since he is here in the States. This is a famous American place for pancakes.

ビィヨーンはとってもアメリカンな所に興味をもっており（なんてたってアメリカにいるんだからだそうです。）、そういうわけで、ホットケーキで有名なアメリカンな所に行って来ました。
Another American experience. "Cupcake".

そして再びアメリカンな食べ物。カップケーキ。

Though we went to a French Cafe, but we had cupcakes (where we bought somewhere else) there. Well, cupcakes were very sweet.... well too sweet...

行ったのはフレンチカフェですが、カップケーキを食べました。感想は「甘すぎだね」ですな。
Edo got really really tired, so he fell asleep in his daddy's arms.

エドも疲れてしまい、お父さんの腕の中でねちゃいました。
毎晩いろんなことを話しながら、わいわいできて楽しかった！来てくれてありがとう。

We had a really good time with them. We talked a lot while having dinner. Thank you for visiting us and staying with us.

I hope they can come back again for a better season since they really did not see much of Californian weather except the day when they had to leave...

できれば今度はいい季節にきてほしいなぁと思います。というのも、本当にカリフォルニアの天気というのを見ないで帰ってしまったから。あ、そういえば，日本へ帰る日はとても晴れていたかなぁ、、、。やっぱ雨男かな？

To Tilden Park in Berkeley: バークレーのティルデン公園へ

This is the second time that we visited this park since I like this place a lot.

ここに来るのは２回目。私はこの場所がとっても気に入っています。

There are some play structure in the park.

公園内には遊具もあります。
A lot of nature and green there. Edo tried his new bird toy here.

自然や緑もいっぱい。エド、新しい鳥のおもちゃで遊ぶ。
Edo loves frisbees.

フリスビーも大好き。
There is a little farm in this park and we can feed animals here.

この公園には小さなファームがあって、餌をあげてもいいことになっています。
Feed a cow a celery. 牛にセロリ！
Edo got scared by the cow.

エドはちょっと怖がっていましたが。
If we came here a little earlier, we could have seen more animals.

もう少し早く来ればいろんな動物が見れたみたいだけど、、、。
They are checking the photos that Elisa just took.
